A deposit is required to book. If complications occur and a NICU stay is required, the Fresh 48 can turn into an in-home session 10-14 days after or when you are all settled cozy in your home.
The best time for Fresh 48 sessions are during daylight hours, usually in the morning. Starting your session between 9am – 3pm gives us optimal light. Siblings are welcome to join in order to capture those priceless first moments with your new addition.
Meeting babies in those first 48 hours in Des Moines and capturing those first moments of a Fresh 48s are some of my most favorite sessions! Babies change so much from the moment you have them to a few weeks later at their in-home newborn session.

Maternity sessions are a great chance to capture that baby bump and remember those special times of bonding with the baby before you meet him or her.
These are most successful when done at 30-35 weeks and we when photographed on weeknight evenings. Siblings are welcome to come along with pictures of the sonogram.

Maternity sessions are usually scheduled between 30-36 weeks.

You'll receive your gallery 1-2 weeks from the day the photos were taken.
Absolutely. There is a small price difference for sessions with siblings.
Session time varies – my biggest goal is to capture a full gallery's worth of images that you'll love. So your session will take as long as I feel like I got the photos I need to make that happen. That can take 20-40 minutes depending on light, wind, and how many people are involved.
Fresh 48 sessions are usually done between 12-48 hours after birth.
We will do your Fresh 48 session between 9am-3pm, because that's when we will have optimal light.
No – due to the unpredictable nature of labor, I can only accommodate Fresh 48 sessions within the West Des Moines and Des Moines area.
